Located just minutes from Lake Ouachita, the Womble Trail, and the Ouachita National Recreation Trail. We offer shuttle services to and from the trail-heads.
Lori and the crew at Blue Bell Cafe are trail angels for hikers on the Ouachita Trail. We were short on water, and Lori brought 2 cases of water to and a cheeseburger to cache ahead of us at FR107 on Section 7. Then, the next day, shuttled us from the 298 trailhead to BBC for another round of cheeseburgers, and finally a shuttle to the Hwy 7 trailhead.
We’ve previously used the shuttle service from Hwy 27 to Big Brushy to pick up an injured hiker. On that trip, Lori brought us 2 cases of water and 4 cheeseburgers to the trailhead.
Our hiking group from West Monroe, LA can’t say enough good about Lori and BBC. She provides an excellent shuttle service at a fair and honest price. And after a hike, the food at BBC always hits the spot!

The Womble (pictured above) is considered the jewel of the Ouachita Mountains as far as trails go. This is by far the most famous trail in the state with folks driving in from all over the country to try this epic ride. It is also the key element of the Ouachita Challenge and Womble Classic Mountain Bike Race held each year.
The Womble is listed as an IMBA Epic Ride and even made it into a couple of the bike mags.
Ouachita National Recreation Trail (ONRT) is a 223-mile long, continuous hiking trail through the Ouachita Mountains of Oklahoma and Arkansas. It is the longest backpacking trail in the Ouachita National Forest, spanning 192 miles across its length.
This extraordinary hiking trail is truly a cherished treasure across both states. The ONRT also connects with the Womble Trail here in Montgomery County, and sections of the Ouachita National Recreation Trail are designated for Mountain Biking.
